Terms of service.
Effective 2026-09-29. These terms govern use of needset.ai and Needset Scout. Control plane customers are governed by their signed order form and master agreement.
Website and Scout
needset.ai and Needset Scout are provided as is, for evaluation. The in-browser scan and Scout produce preliminary estimates based on exact duplication and general-purpose compression; they are not a guarantee of savings achievable with the Needset control plane, which measures at chunk level against a specific workload.
Acceptable use
You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, interfere with its operation, or use it to violate any law. Security research conducted in good faith and reported to security@needset.ai is welcome.
Intellectual property
Needset, the Needset logo and the control plane software are the property of Needset AI. Content on this site may be quoted with attribution.
Control plane
Access to the Needset control plane, including assessments, pilots, platform and self-hosted deployments, is provided under a written agreement between Needset AI and the customer. In the event of conflict, that agreement controls.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Needset AI is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of this website or Scout.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
